JNPA has become Distribution Franchise (D. F.) of MSEDCL.
The agencies drawing electric power from JNPA power distribution network will become consumers of MSEDCL after operationalization of D.F.
JNPA receives electrical power from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) at 220KV level from two independent express feeders at Master Unit Sub Station (MUSS) of the Port
Two independent express feeders at 220 KV level ensures 100 percent reliability of power supply from MSEDCL
Three transformers at MUSS ensures 100% redundancy and uninterrupted power to all terminals of JNPA
JNPA’s Solar Power Plants installed capacity is 4.10 MWp.

Shore Power Supply(SPS):
JNPA is providing Shore Power Supply facility to Port Crafts since inception. In August, 2021 the same was enhanced to accommodate more port crafts.
Now, JNPA is implementing Shore Power Supply facility in all the terminal except liquid cargo, having financial implication of 650Cr. Preparation of Detailed Project Report(DPR) for this project is completed and Project Monitoring Consultancy (PMC) service provider is on board. Project planned to complete by January, 2028. On completion, JNPA becomes first port in Asia having this facility.
